Stop Sexual Oppressors Protest

Oust the sexual oppressors! Senator Mark Leno, Senator Leland Yee, Assemblymember Tom Ammiano, and Supervisor John Avalos all worked to deny the sexual freedom of men through their opposition of the San Francisco Male Genital Mutilation Bill and their endorsement of AB 768, the recently-passed California state law which prohibits cities from restricting male circumcision. It is time to cut sexual oppressors out of politics and to stop cutting babies.

Join members of Bay Area Intactivists for a public shaming of all of those who wish to deny men the right to intact genitals. This protest will take place outside of the San Francisco Main Library during a local legislative campaign kick-off that will be attended by these politicians.

Shame on you, ACLU! The ACLU of Northern California opposed a San Francisco ballot initative that would have granted male minors protection from all non-medically-necessary genital surgery including routine infant circumcision. Furthermore, the ACLU of Northern California... continued to disregard the human right to bodily integrity by endorsing AB 768, the recently-passed California state law which prohibits cities from restricting male circumcision.

Bay Area Intactivists will hold a protest in codemnation of these actions outside of the Monterey College of Law during the ACLU of California Social Justice Conference. Take a stand with us to remind the ACLU that men's bodies are their own and that all children, regardless of gender, deserve protection from non-therapeutic genital surgery.

Join Bay Area Intactivists for a candlelight vigil in remembrance of the male, female and intersex children who have lost their lives due to complications of circumcision or other non-therapeutic forms of genital cutting. The vigil will take place outside Or Shalom in response to a circumcision panel discussion which will extol the genital cutting of children.

Please bring a candle that can be shielded from the wind.
